On Monday, Jos Buttler had a memorable day in Abu Dhabi. The Rajasthan Royals batsman played an important role in his team’s seven-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings. Adding a special touch to this win, CSK skipper, MS Dhoni gave Buttler his jersey at the end of the match. The RR batsman has been overjoyed to receive the jersey from Dhoni.
The wicketkeeper-batsman helped his side to recover from a poor start by an unbeaten knock of 70 off 48 deliveries. The team chased down the target of 126 with ease with the help of Buttler’s knock. The pink team started off shakily as they lost three wickets early and found themselves staring at a score of 28 for 3 though they were chasing a modest score.
Ben Stokes began well and assisted Royals to score 20 in 2 overs before Deepak Chahar dismissed him during the last ball of the third over. Chahar ended the 26-run partnership of Stokes with Robin Uthappa. During the fourth over, Josh Hazlewood dismissed Uthappa. Chahar struck again to dismiss Sanju Samson for a three-ball duck.
