Jos Buttler has been in tremendous form in the 2022 season of the Indian T20 League. After scoring a century against Mumbai earlier in the season, Buttler went on to hit his second century, against Kolkata.

Buttler tormented the bowlers and reached his century in the 17th over of the innings. He hit a six off Pat Cummins on the first ball of the over to reach this mark. However, Cummins got the better of him on the fourth ball of the over. He scored 103 runs in 61 balls, with nine fours and five sixes in the innings. Meanwhile, a cameo by Shimron Hetmyer (26) helped Rajasthan reach a score of 217 in the first innings. Sanju Samson also played a fiery innings of 38 runs in 19 balls.

Speaking about Buttler's century against Mumbai, the keeper-batter scored 100 runs in 68 balls. Buttler currently holds the orange cap with 375 runs at an average of 75 in the tournament. Meanwhile, Twitter erupted as soon as Buttler reached his second century. Cricket expert Harsha Bhogle said that he had taken a break from today's game, but Buttler's innings forced him to watch the match. "I thought I would take a holiday from cricket today. Noticed that Jos Buttler has put on a show. Back watching!" he wrote.

In reply to Rajasthan's daunting target, Kolkata got off to a worst possible start as they lost Sunil Narine on the first ball. However, Shreyas Iyer and Aaron Finch torn apart Rajasthan bowling. At the time of writing, Kolkata are 153-4, needing 65 off 35, with Shreyas Iyer set at 66.
