The 27-year-old knows that Hardik Pandya's return means there is no vacancy on the national team at the moment. All-rounder Shivam Dube has stated that he is not thinking about international cricket and is only focusing on getter better. The 27-year-old knows that Hardik Pandya's return means there is no vacancy on the national team at the moment. However, Shivam Dube reiterated that he is not competing with the Mumbai Indians all-rounder.

The Mumbaikar made his international debut against Bangladesh in 2019. He is seen as a like-for-like replacement for Hardik Pandya but has dropped out of competition in recent months. Speaking to the Times of India, the youngster has said his focus is on improving his game rather than competing with all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Looking forward to learning from Ben Stokes and Chris Morris: Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube has featured in 13 T20Is and just one ODI for team India. In T20Is, the youngster has amassed 105 runs and picked up five wickets. Having not played a T20 international for India since February 2020, Dube has said that his aim is only on self-improvement.

After spending two IPL editions with RCB, Shivam Dube will now play for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021. The all-rounder was bought for Rs 4.4 crore by the Rajasthan based franchise. Shivam Dube played just 15 matches across two IPL seasons with Royal Challengers Bangalore. The young southpaw wasn't availed well in the RCB outfit. However, he is confident that he will get more opportunities to play for the RR side. Dube also revealed that Kumar Sangakkara trusts him and feels he can solidify the middle-order.

Primarily a lower-order batsman, Shivam Dube is acknowledged for his power-hitting ability. The 27-year-old is more handy with the ball, but the all-rounder has stated that the Royals have picked him because of his batting prowess. Shivam Dube will be battling with some of the best all-rounders in the world at IPL 2021. Ben Stokes and Chris Morris are part of the team as well and are set to play most of the matches in the forthcoming season. However, Shivam Dube is up for the challenge and is looking forward to learning from the two great players. Shivam Dube will look forward to a productive IPL 2021 season, which would bring him back into the reckoning for a return to the Indian cricket team.
