Team India are currently busy playing the second and last match of the ongoing Test series. They won the first match with ease by 188 runs. Therefore, the Men in Blue were looking to clean sweep the series by winning this clash also. However, Rohit Sharma failed to get fit in time for this match.
Hence, KL Rahul got another chance to lead the team in this clash. Rishabh Pant also got another chance to play as the wicketkeeper. But, in the first game only, he failed to score big and fans were not happy. Speaking of Pant, he had a disappointing 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign for India in whatever opportunities he had.

However, before this series, Team India selected KL Rahul over him as the keeper for the ODI series. Then, in both the ODI and T20I series in New Zealand, Rishabh Pant failed again to score significantly. So, fans were not happy with his form, especially in the white-ball formats. However, Pant has always shown his class with the ball in the longest format of the game. So, in the second Test, he showed the class again he smashed 93 runs off 104 balls in the first innings.
In the first Test also, he scored a vital 46 runs off 45 balls, including six fours and two sixes. It was a vital contribution as he settled the innings. Then, Team India lost the first three wickets for just 48 runs. So, on day four, when Pant came out to bat, team India were in deep trouble by losing five wickets for 56 runs while chasing 145 runs. But, Pant scored only nine runs off 13 balls. So, fans were not happy and they slammed the Indian wicket-keeper on social media platforms. Mehedy Hasan Miraz took the wicket of the batter.
