Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns with each other in the 52nd match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. The hostsβ skipper Sanju Samson won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first at the home ground Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
Batting first, the Royals went on to post a big total of 214 runs for the loss of two wickets in the first innings of the game. Later on, the Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to chase down the total in the last over and won the match by a close margin of four wickets to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
The fans also came up with a lot of different reactions and criticized the Rajasthan Royals as they lost faced their third consecutive loss in the tournament. Fans took to Twitter and praised SRH for their team efforts to cross the finishing line

Talking about the entire action of the game, the veteran opener Jos Buttler and skipper Sanju Samson stitched an outstanding 138-run partnership for the second wicket in favour of Rajasthan Royals in the first innings. Buttler played a swashbuckling knock of 95 runs off just 59 balls with 10 boundaries and four sixes to his name followed by skipper Samsonβs knock of 66 runs off just 38 balls with four boundaries and five sixes with the wood.
Other than these two, the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored 35 runs off just 18 balls with five boundaries and two sixes on his credit. On the back of these knocks, RR posted a big total of 214 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Marco Jansen scalped one wicket each for SRH in the first innings.
While chasing the target, opener Abhishek Sharma and number three batter Rahul Tripathi played the crucial knocks of 55 and 47 runs off 34 and 29 balls respectively. Other than these two, opener Anmolpreet Singh also scored 33 runs off 25 balls with four boundaries and a six to his name.
Apart from this, a quick cameo of 17 runs off just 7 balls from Abdul Samad helped the visitors SRH to cross the line in 20 overs and win the match by a close margin of four wickets as SRH scored 217 runs for the loss of six wickets in the 20 overs. Notably, it is the fifth loss for the Royals in their last six matches in the tournament.
