India crushed Bangladesh in the first Test by 188 runs and the two teams are facing off in the second Test that kicked off on December 22, Thursday and on Day 1, it was India who came out on top post bowling out the Bangla Tigers for a meagre total of 227. Mominul Haque, the Bangladeshi batter, was the one amongst all who single-handedly lifted the team with his gritty 84.
As far as Indian bowling is concerned, the likes of Jaydev Unadkat, Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav stood for the KL Rahul-led team. To add more, while Unadkat picked up 2 wickets to his name, Umesh and Ashwin picked up four-fors and silenced the critics who doubted their inclusion in the squad.

India had to play in the absence of Kuldeep Yadav, the Player of the Match from the first Test, as the left-arm spinner made way for the left-arm pacer Unadkat.
“There was a bit in it for the fast bowlers. Few balls were kicking up. It was important to keep bowling in the right areas and I tried to do the same. Dry grass is there and it's a bit spongy. We were trying to reverse the ball and bowl wicket-to-wicket, we got wickets because of that,” Umesh was quoted as saying.
