Pakistan team are currently in Australia playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. However, they have failed to win both matches so far against India and Zimbabwe respectively. So, Pakistan fans have not enjoyed the tournament so far. Against India, they lost by four wickets in Melbourne.

Then, they took on Zimbabwe on 27 October in Perth. But, Zimbabwe defeated them by one run only as Pakistan are still winless in the ongoing tournament. After such a humiliating loss, former cricketers criticized Babar Azam and his men. But, Muhammad Asif came out and showed support for Pakistan through his tweets.

Here are those tweets:

“Babar & Rizwan are superstars of Pakistan.” - Muhammad Asif

Speaking about those tweets, Asif wrote that the loss was humiliating. But, the way ex-players have criticized players that were not acceptable. He even claimed that those players were doing such things in order to get a lucrative job in the Pakistan Cricket Board.

He wrote: “PK losing to ZIM is not a nice feeling for any fan. However, the way some ex-players and so-called pundits are insulting and maligning the team during the shows of their opportunism. Perhaps they think Pakistan Cricket Board will give them a lucrative job. My support is with the boys #T20worldcup22.” Asif also said that both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are the pride of Pakistan. Both of them already have won many matches for their country.

So, they should not forget that. “Babar & Rizwan are superstars of Pakistan. The person who has some knowledge about cricket will surely understand and support them. Charhtay sooraj ko salam krna chor dein, kal tak ye hero thy aj buray ho gy. Don't remember, Ye jori hamain kitny matches jitwa chuki hai, Respect.” Muhammad Asif wrote on Twitter.
