Kevin Pietersen wants the ICC to introduce a 12-run rule in T20I cricket

Former English skipper Kevin Pietersen opines that ICC should introduce a new 12 run rule in the game's shortest format. He added that if a batter hits six over 100 meters, the respective team should be allotted 12 runs instead of the regular 6 runs. He brought out this unique suggestion through his post on Twitter. The legendary batsman has always been a person that comes up with new ideologies. He also mentioned in his tweet that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) could implement this rule in the forthcoming tournament 'The Hundred'.

The Hundred is a new 100-ball cricket tournament. It will see prominent cricketers (both men and women) playing in the competition later this year in the English summer. He has amassed 8181 runs in Test, 4440 in ODIs, and 1176 runs in the game's shortest format. Kevin Pietersen has scored a total of 32 hundred in Test and ODI cricket combined. The veteran was also a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has played 36 matches. The 40-year-old has amassed 1001 runs in IPL cricket. Pietersen played his last IPL game in April 2016.
