Despite taking retirement from international cricket, MS Dhoni captures the limelight as no other player can. Understandably people were quite intrigued when the World Cup winner teased a big announcement on Sunday. People were confused as to what could the announcement be about.

Many speculated that Dhoni would announce his retirement from Indian T20 League, and many were also of the opinion that he could return back to cricket. Social media was sent into a frenzy with everyone coming up with their own version of what the announcement could be about.

Well as it turns out, the big announcement was about the relaunch of a biscuit brand, ‘Oreo’!

The Chennai skipper took to Instagram on Sunday with a funny video comparing India’s 2011 World Cup win. The former India captain drew parallels to the Oreo launch in 2011 and how India’s World Cup win followed it.

The 41-year-old said that relaunching Oreo for the second time could mean the same for the current Indian team and could result in India winning the 20-20 World Cup this year as well.

The Men in Blue are gearing up for the upcoming World Cup in Australia next month with sights set on the coveted trophy after a poor performance at the Asia Cup. Currently, the team is playing a three-match 20-20 series with Australia which is leveled at 1-1.

Let’s look at how Twitter reacted to Dhoni’s Oreo launch.
