The star GT opener and young batter, Shubman Gill amazed everyone with his sensational knock in the second qualifier against the five-time champions Gujarat Titans. The 23-year-old smashed an amazing century and played a swashbuckling knock of 129 runs off just 60 balls with seven boundaries and 10 sixes to his name.

Talking about the entire action of the match between the defending champions GT and the Mumbai Indians, the visitors’ skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. But it was Gill who proved Sharma wrong as he smashed his third century in the current season of the Indian Premier League. Riding on these performances, the Titans posted a massive total of 233 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Piyush Chawla and Akash Madhwal scalped one wicket each for Mumbai Indians in the first innings.
Later on, while chasing the target, the MI batters completely surrendered against the bowling attack of the Gujarat Titans led by veteran pacer Mohit Sharma. Gujarat bowlers bundled up the five-time champions only on score of 171 runs in 18.2 overs to win the match by a big margin of 62 runs. Mohit Sharma bowled brilliantly and claimed an amazing five-wicket haul as he scalped five wickets at the cost of only 10 runs in 2.2 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma were the only batters to play the struggling knocks of 61 and 43 runs respectively for MI.
