On Sunday, the Karnataka Government honored KL Rahul with the Ekalavya Award in the Karnataka Star Sports awards. KL Rahul is the Indian cricketer and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper. After receiving the award, KL Rahul took to Twitter to thank the state government for bestowing him with the honor.
Rahul is presently in the UAE, where he was leading Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020. His team has finished sixth on the points table in the ongoing IPL season after they lost against Chennai Super Kings in their last league game. Nonetheless, the opener is probably going to win the orange cap for the 13th IPL edition. Playing in 14 games for his team, KL Rahul has scored 670 runs. So far, he is the top-scorer of this season.

The Karnataka state government awards the Ekalavya Award to the players for exceptional performance in sports. Along with Rahul, his Punjab teammate and close companion, Mayank Agarwal, is bestowed with this honor, as well.
KL Rahul, in his tweet, expressed gratitude toward the state government for presenting him with the Ekalavya award. He has acknowledged the contributions of his coaches, teammates, friends, and families as well. The wicket-keeper batsman vowed to put forth a strong effort and make India and Karnataka proud.
Rahul has been in brilliant form with the bat for the past eighteen months almost. After his superb white-ball performance earlier, he has also found a place on the Test team for the upcoming series of India after the end of IPL 2020. India will go to Australia for a full-fledged visit after the IPL 2020 final on 10 November.
