The veteran England top order batter Danni Wyatt has expressed her sorrow as the franchises overlooked her during the auction for the first-ever edition of the Women’s T20 League. The 31-year-old was registered under the bracket of INR 50 Lakhs in the marquee set of players; who were supposed to go under the hammer.
Alongside some other surprising big unsold bids including the likes of Suzie Bates, Alana King, Sune Luus, and Laura Wolvaardt, Danni Wyatt was also one of these names that left the fans in shock as she couldn’t get a buyer despite having a long international cricketing career of almost 13 years to her name.
Meanwhile, the Brisbane Heat player in BBL came up with a tweet expressing her disheartened state after missing a chance to feature in the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 League.
“Dreamt of playing in the WPL. Heartbroken (emoji of a broken heart) Congrats to all who got picked up. India is a wonderful place to play cricket,” wrote Danni Wyatt in a recent tweet from her official Twitter handle.

The Staffordshire player started her career in international cricket as a top-order batter but she has also delivered brilliantly with the ball of late. The 31-year-old has played a massive number of 140 T20Is for the England Women’s Team since her first appearance almost 13 years back in the year 2010.
In these appearances, she has scored 2276 runs with two centuries and 10 half-centuries alongside 46 wickets with the ball as well.
