Former Indian skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli enjoys a massive fan following in the cricketing world across the diameter of the globe. Notably, he is also adored very much in the neighbouring country and India’s arch-rivals Pakistan for his amazing cricketing skills and legendary stature in the game.

Recently, in the same line of events, an edited photograph of Virat was shared by a Pakistan-based sports journalist named Farid Khan from his official Twitter handle. Although Farid had to face a huge backlash in the reply section of his tweet on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Who edited this? Found it on Twitter, looks really clean but remains just a dream.  Virat Kohli's ancestors migrated from Rawalpindi, had they not then it would have been a different story. Meanwhile, Babar's ancestors migrated from Hoshiarpur,” wrote Farid Khan in his tweet with a picture of Virat Kohli edited in Pakistan cricket team’s jersey.

A section of cricket fans both from India and Pakistan immediately rushed to the reply section of this tweet; subsequently, they came up very hard on the Pakistani sports journalist for this tweet with a lot of furious reactions and responses.

Currently, Virat Kohli is in action with his franchise team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. He has also impressed the cricket fans with his amazing batting performances in the tournament so far by scoring 279 runs in the seven innings of the seven matches with an average of 46.50 including four half-centuries with the wood.

He will be in action with RCB in their next match at the home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Nitish Rana’s men will take on the hosts RCB on Wednesday, the 26th of April from 7.30 PM.
