Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has fallen down on the receiving end of the trolls on social media following his recent vacation pictures. Recently, another picture surfaced on social media in which Sharma can be seen with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. The picture started making rounds on social media within minutes of being shared.

But apart from this, the picture also drew a lot of reactions and responses from a section of Indian cricket fans. They immediately took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to come up with some criticizing remarks for the Indian skipper. Some of the fans also recalled India’s defeats in the major international tournaments under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Recently, Rohit Sharma was on the gaining side of criticism after India faced a crushing defeat against Australia in the World Test Championship 2023 final. The Aussies completely outplayed Team India and won the WTC 2023 final by a big margin of 209 runs. With that historic win, the Pat Cummins-led Australia also became the newly crowned World Test Champions.

Coming back to Rohit Sharma, his batting techniques were also under the scanner apart from the captaincy. The 36-year-old faced a flak over his sweep attempt against Nathan Lyon who came up with a new ball in the second inning of the WTC 2023 final.

It was considered by the experts that Rohit threw his wicket at the time when India required him most. The moment when Rohit got dismissed was the time when he had taken good momentum and was playing on the individual score of 43 runs. India was chasing a mammoth total of 444 runs in the fourth inning of the WTC 2023 final.

Now, Rohit Sharma will be in action with Team India on the West Indies tour where they will two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is against the Caribbean side.
