Kuldeep Yadav is a big match-winner: Harbhajan Singh

Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh stated that he does not see anything wrong with Kuldeep Yadav's bowling. He added that the left-arm spinner would come back stronger. Kuldeep Yadav has been struggling to keep a spot in the playing eleven of the Indian team as well as in the Kolkata Knight Riders. Once a vital cog in India and KKR's bowling unit, the chinaman bowler has struggled recently, and he is not a regular face in the playing XI.

Last IPL season, Kuldeep Yadav returned with just one wicket in five games. He was also a member of the Indian squads in the recent series against Australia and England. But he could feature in only one ODI in Australia and one Test and two ODIs against England without any noteworthy performances.

I’m sure Kuldeep will come good for KKR: Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh strongly supported his KKR teammate Kuldeep Yadav to bounce back stronger soon for both his franchise and the nation. He reckoned that Kuldeep still has got a different set of skills that got him into the Indian cricket team. Harbhajan also disclosed that Kuldeep has been putting in the hard yards in the practice sessions, and it is just a matter of time till he comes good.

Kolkata Knight Riders bought Harbhajan Singh for Rs 2 crore at this year's auction. KKR captain Eoin Morgan urged Harbhajan into action in the first over to dismiss David Warner. Harbhajan, in fact, almost removed Warner in the fourth ball, but Pat Cummins dropped the Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper in an eventful first over. However, the spinner was not given the ball again in the match, which Morgan later described to his match-up strategy, but the off-spinner did not mind.

Kolkata Knight Riders started off their campaign in an emphatic manner, defeating SRH by ten runs. Harbhajan hoped that they would come good this season as they have missed the playoffs in 2019 and 2020. Riding on Nitish Rana's sparkling 80, Kolkata Knight Riders became the third IPL team to notch 100 wins in the competition. KKR has now joined MI and CSK in another elite list of top IPL teams by recording their 100th victory in the competition on Sunday. Kolkata Knight Riders will now play against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Chennai on Tuesday.
