Amid the ongoing debate over India's squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup, Star India wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul has resumed his wicketkeeping practice. While undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, Rahul has started preparing for his comeback ahead of the Asia Cup in 2023. In a viral video on social media, Rahul can be seen sweating in nets.
The video soon went viral on social media as fans were excited to see him back. It will be a massive boost for Indian team management if Rahul achieves match fitness ahead of the upcoming marquee event. It's worth noting that Rahul is running against the clock as the Indian Cricket Board has to name their 15-member squad for the World Cup 2023 by September 5.

In a game between his team, the Lucknow Super Giants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2023 on April 1, Rahul suffered a right thigh injury. He had to have surgery in London and has since been recovering. Notably, there is a fight between Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson to get Rahul's place in the playing XI. His recovery will put him ahead in the pecking order.

Meanwhile, star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named as India's skipper for the upcoming Ireland tour. He will be making a comeback after months of injuries.
