The veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has happened to be on the gaining end of some hilarious digs and trolls on the social media platform. It all started when Dinesh Karthik quoted a tweet from a Twitter user in which one of his poor World Cup knocks was shown and asked the latter to delete the tweet immediately.

The tweet posted by the user is showing Dinesh Karthik’s 6-run knock off 25 balls against New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup. Karthik was caught by James Neesham off Matt Henry.

“One word about Ur goated inning in SF #Askdk,” read the tweet posted by the user.

Responding to this immediately, the 37-year-old wrote; “delete this right now (disappointment emoji).”

A section of Indian cricket fans immediately rushed to the comment section of Karthik’s tweet and tweeted some hilarious and witty replies to the former.

Here’s how fans trolled Dinesh Karthik:

Talking about cricket, Dinesh Karthik’s last international appearance was against Bangladesh in India’s super-12 match during the 20-20 World Cup 2022 last year. He earned a comeback call to the national side of India owing to his amazing batting heroics in the 2022 edition of the Indian T20 League.

Although Karthik failed to live up to the expectations in the marquee tournament in Australia and couldn’t make it back again to the team since his last appearance in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Nonetheless, Karthik has a career of almost two decades to his name since his debut in international cricket 19 years back in Lord’s ODI against England in 2004.

The Tamil Nadu batter has appeared in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is so far for India with 1025 Test runs, 1752 ODI runs, and 686 T20I runs respectively to his name.

Notably, he will also be seen in a different role as a commentator for Star Sports during the upcoming four-match Test series between India and Australia.
