On March 27, Lahore Qalandars team owners took the PSL trophy to the Wagah Border in Lahore. The trophy was presented to the Ranger personnel at the border during the daily flag ceremony. The border is situated between Lahore and Amritsar where the ‘daily flag ceremony’ takes place.

Team CEO Atif Rana, head coach Aaqib Javed, Deputy DG Rangers Brigadier Shehzad, and Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain R Usman were present on the occasion. The trophy tour started with the first visit to the hometown of Qalandars skipper Shaheen Afridi, Landi Kotal. Then it visited the hometown of their opening batter Fakhar Zaman, which is Katlang. Then it visited the hometowns of Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf.

The tour continued with its visits to various universities and colleges in Lahore. The tour is conducted in the celebration of their first PSL title win. Lahore defeated defending champions Multan Sultans in the final. They came close in 2020 but lost to Karachi Kings in the final.

Qalandars has had a huge fan base in Pakistan, just like the Bangalore team from the Indian T20 League in India. However, they had disappointed their fans with finishes outside the playoffs from 2016 to 2019 and 2021. This year, they finally managed the break the jinx and the fans got something to cheer about.
