Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant recently visited the practice session of Team India ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. He met the squad members and also cheered them for two upcoming major international tournaments, including the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup 2023. Indian squad is currently undergoing a preparatory camp in Karnataka’s Alur ahead of the continental championship.

Notably, Rishabh Pant has been out of action from action in international cricket since he met a horrific accident and sustained multiple injuries almost 9 months back in December 2022. Since then, Pant has been undergoing his recovery after surgery at Kokilaben Hospital of Mumbai.

Talking about Team India, the selectors have already announced the squad for the upcoming 16th edition of the Asia Cup. The team will be playing under the captaincy of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson has also been included as a travelling reserve, alongside a 17-men squad.

Coming back to Pant, he was also seen doing batting practice just a few days back at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Apart from that, he recently shared a video on his official X handle in which he is exercising on a bike. The blistering Southpaw made his last appearance for India in the Mirpur Test against Bangladesh from 22nd December to 25th December 2022.

The fans and experts of the game are expecting the Delhi star’s return to the Indian Team by the T20 World Cup 2024. He has been one of the consistent performers for India in the last couple of years across all formats, including averages of 43.67 and 34.60 in Test and ODI cricket, respectively.
