Veteran Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar believes that leading a team like RCB has helped Virat Kohli's international career in many ways. A little while ago, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli accomplished 13 years with the franchise. Virat Kohli is the only cricketer to have featured for the same IPL team for 13 years. Despite no IPL titles under his belt, the team management, unlike other teams, did not look for Kohli's successor but continued to support him.

Former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar reckoned that the IPL had a massive impact on Kohli's international career. He further added that leading a franchise like RCB has helped him deal with immense pressure. Virat Kohli was appointed as RCB's captain in 2013. Since then, there has been no looking back for the batsman. The 32-year-old has emerged as one of the most prolific run-scorers in the tournament.

Virat Kohli is the highest run-getter in the Indian Premier League

Currently, Virat Kohli is the highest run-getter in the Indian Premier League. He has scored 5949 runs from 195 matches. RCB will next take on Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. RCB defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener before beating Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.
