Fans will get an opportunity to re-live some of the iconic rivalries in world cricket when former legends cross swords in the Legends League Cricket. The tournament has created a lot of buzz ever since it was announced. The event is set to take place in 2022.
According to reports in Sports Tiger, as many as seven T20 matches will be played. All the matches are likely to take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, Muscat in Oman. The ground recently hosted the Qualifiers of the 20-20 World Cup. The stadium can accommodate up to 3000 spectators.
Asia Lions, India Maharajas, and World Giants are the three teams that will be competing for the elusive title. The Maharajas will see the likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, and several former India players.
Meanwhile, Asian Lions will have an amalgamation of players from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The third and final team World Giants will see players like Jacques Kallis, Brett Lee, Andrew Flintoff, and Mark Boucher playing in the same team.
