It seems like the controversy of traveling for the World Cup 2023 is not ending very soon between Pakistan and India. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi has recently come up with a very hard and fast-lined statement stating Pakistan’s stance on traveling with India for the ODI World Cup 2023.

Sethi said that the men in green will participate in the ODI World Cup 2023 only in the condition that their matches will be assigned to neutral venues out of India.

“Pakistan will not travel to India for the World Cup, we want our World Cup matches to be played at a neutral venue only,” said Sethi to Sports Tak.

Although this statement from the PCB didn’t go down well with a section of the cricket fans; they immediately took to Twitter to fire over Najam Sethi with the brutal trolling remarks and reactions on the micro-blogging site.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Later on, the PCB chief also talked about the hybrid model of the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan.

“There are no security issues. We can play a couple of matches against India and the rest of the teams’ matches can also be played in a neutral venue. We are ready for compromise. All or nothing is not what we want,” said Najam Sethi.

Indian Cricket Board secretary Jay Shah had asked in an ACC meeting in Bahrain whether someone has a problem with touring Pakistan and no one said anything. If Indian Cricket Board takes a political stance and doesn’t let anyone play in Pakistan, I don’t think ACC can run this way,” he added later.
