The International Cricket Governing Council has given 15th September as the final date for the submission of squads for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. The Indian team has just completed its five-match T20I series against South Africa. They are now set to complete their long white-ball schedule before they finally have to announce the World Cup squad.

Here is India’s schedule for the next few months:

India tour of Ireland 2022

The India team will play the two-match T20I series in Ireland, which will begin on the 26th of June. The team will be captained by Hardik Pandya as most of the other senior players will be busy with the all-format series in England.

This will be an excellent opportunity for the all-rounder to shine and secure a place in the World Cup team. Many more young players, like Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad, will compete for a slot in the major tournament.

India tour of England 2022

India is preparing to tour England for an all-format series headed by Rohit Sharma. The T20I games of the tour will begin on the 7th of July, while the third and final match will be played on the 10th of July. This series will give a better idea of the squad for the World Cup as the senior players will return to play the shortest format of the game after a while. The squad for the three-game series is yet to be named.

India tour of West Indies 2022

The West Indies Cricketing Board recently announced that they will host India for a complete white-ball tour in July-August. The three ODIs will be followed by five T20Is at three different venues. The first T20I match will be played on July 29th at Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium, while the final match will be played on August 7th at Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground.

Asia Cup T20 2022

The Asia Cup 2022 would be India’s only multi-team competition before the 20-20 World Cup in Australia later this year. The event was originally scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka, but due to the country’s economic turmoil, it will instead take place in the UAE. The competition will begin on August 27th, and the final will be held on September 11th.
