Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar called himself 'lucky' to have Rahul Dravid as the coach of the Indian team. Team India is currently preparing for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. The series is set to begin on July 13 in Colombo. Considering Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are in England preparing for the Test series, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team.

Looking forward to helping others improving their skills: Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The team touring Sri Lanka comprises both young and experienced players who will be coached by former Indian captain Rahul Dravid. For Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it will be the first experience of sharing the dressing room with Dravid. The senior pacer also spoke about his role as vice-captain. The fast bowler reckoned that being the vice-captain of Team India is an "honor and a responsibility". Thus, he will continue to do the things he has been doing in the past.

In the absence of regular players, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devdutt Padikkal, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Chetan Sakariya have received their maiden call-ups. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw has returned to the team. Other youngsters like Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav have also been included in the squad.

Despite sending a second-string team, the Indian cricket team is still seen as the favorite, given Sri Lanka's recent poor form. England recently whitewashed Sri Lanka in a 3-match T20I series. They also lost 2-0 in the ODIs (the third game yielded no result). Earlier in the year, the Island nation was also defeated by Bangladesh in an ODI series.

India's squad: Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Prithvi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan (Wicket-keeper), Sanju Samson (Wicket-keeper), Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, K Gowtham, Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Vice-captain), Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya

Net Bowlers: Ishan Porel, Sandeep Warrier, Arshdeep Singh, Sai Kishore, Simarjeet Singh
