The Australian cricket team recently completed their historic tour of Pakistan, which was a major success. This was the first time the Australian team visited the country in the last 24 years. However, things were not always smooth during the tour. Notably, the Australian team received death threats during the tour.

It has now been understood that the man identified as Irfan has been arrested by Faisalabad Police on Thursday. The Sarfraz Colony resident had called the Australian Interior Ministry and threatened to harm the Australian cricket team, which was touring Pakistan.

Rana Mazharul Haq, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Ghulam Muhammad Abad, arrested the accused based on a Special Branch report and recovered the mobile phone he had used to call the Australian Interior Ministry. A further investigation against him was underway.

Meanwhile, the bilateral series had three Test matches, three ODI matches, and a T20 match. The three-match Test series was won by Australia, with a scoreline of 0-1. The first two matches of the Test series ended in draws. Pakistan then won the ODI series 2-1. The one-off T20 match was won by Australia.

Imam ul Haq was the star of the series for Pakistan as he hit two centuries in the Test series and two centuries in the ODI series. Babar Azam was also impressive as he scored three centuries, one in Tests and two in ODIs.

For Australia, Usman Khawaja was the highest run-scorer (496 runs) in the longest format with two centuries. Ben McDermott was decent for Australia in ODIs as he scored 195 runs in three matches.

Both the teams will next play in June. Australia is set to tour Sri Lanka for a complete bilateral series starting 7th June. The series comprises three T20 matches, five ODI matches, and two Test matches. Pakistan, on the other hand, will host the West Indies for a three-match ODI series starting on the 8th of June.
