In a recent piece of news, it has been learned that young uncapped batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to make his Test debut for India. He is likely to be a part of India’s playing XI in the first of the two-match Test series against West Indies. Both teams will lock horns in the series opener on July 12, Wednesday.
Notably, Jaiswal earned his maiden India call-up as he was picked in the Test squad of India for the West Indies tour. Recently, he also impressed everyone with his stellar performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In addition to that, he also attracted attention with his performances in the Indian domestic circuit last year.
Subsequently, Indian cricket fans are also elated after the news of Jaiswal’s Test debut for India in the series against West Indies. Some of the fans also remembered some of the Indian cricketing legends such as Sunil Gavaskar and former skipper Virat Kohli making their debuts in West Indies.

It is good to see someone like Jaiswal making his debut directly into the test team. Rohit, Yash, Gill, Virat and Ajinkya are my top 5 for 1st test against "black wind". BCCI is giving alot of chance to Umran in T20is. it is better that they make him a test bowler.
