Marnus Labuschagne is now at number three in the latest ICC Test Rankings for batsmen. The Australian cricketer surpassed Virat Kohli on the points table after slamming his fifth century in the Brisbane Test.

Virat Kohli, who missed the last three Tests against Australia, has slipped to the fourth position. However, India's run machine will bounce back for the home series against England next month.

The Indian selectors have declared the squad for the first two Test matches against England. If India wins the series against England, they will secure their place in the ICC World Test Championship final.

Cheteshwar Pujara jumped to the seventh spot. England captain Joe Root re-entered in the top-five. Root climbed six places to fifth after hitting a double century against Sri Lanka in Galle. Babar Azam and Henry Nicholls have dropped one spot each.

Josh Hazlewood jumped four places on the ICC Test Rankings for Bowling

Ajinkya Rahane and Ben Stokes have filled the eighth and ninth positions to complete the top 10 rankings. India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has also accomplished his career-best 691 rating points, and is 13th on the list.

Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood surpassed New Zealand's Tim Southee to claim the fourth spot. The 30-year-old had picked up six wickets in the final match. Debutant Mohammad Siraj leapt 32 places to 45th spot after taking a five-wicket haul. England spinners Jack Leach and Dominic Bess also made significant progress after their fifers in Galle.
