Bangalore has got off to a decent start in the Indian T20 League, winning one of their two games. Their batting department has been amazing with their performance as Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Dinesh Karthik have all done well. However, they have missed the services of their star all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell.
In a massive development, Maxwell has joined the Bangalore team. The batter missed the first few games due to his marriage. However, it is understood that he will not be playing in the match against Rajasthan and will only be available for selection from Bangalore's next match against Mumbai. The reason for the same is CA's regulations where they have barred the Australians to play in Indian T20 League before the conclusion of the Pakistan tour. Notably, Pakistan and Australia will play a T20I on March 5th.
Speaking of the situation in a video put up by Bangalore's Twitter account, Mike Hesson said, "It's pretty clear from Cricket Australia's point of view that no contracted players are available before the 6th of April. So, regardless of when they arrive here, they can't play before the 6th of April."
"We have been well aware of that as every other side. We have planned for that. Maxi (Maxwell) will be with us and available from the 9th," he added.

Glenn Maxwell was roped in by Bangalore for the 2021 season. The all-rounder had an outstanding season and was retained for the 2022 season. Bangalore will be keen to have him back in the team.
