Mega Auction: Top gainers and losers considering previous year's salary

There were some major gainers and some major losers in terms of the per season pay in the IPL mega auction. Here's the complete list.

Indian T20 League mega auction has concluded, resulting in some major team transformations. There were many exciting buys in the season as the bidding went on and on. Ishan Kishan and Deepak Chahar were the notable highest buys this season. David Warner and Quinton de Kock, on the other hand, were the steals of the season. There were some major gainers and some major losers in terms of the per season pay.

Price hikes

The purple cap winner from last season, Harshal Patel had a massive hike of 5275 per cent from last season. He was bought back by Bangalore at 10.75 crores after he was paid 20 lakhs last season. Prasidh Krishna also entered the two-digit mark at a value of 10 crores by Rajasthan, he was paid 20 lakhs by Kolkata last season.

Tim David, in an interesting buy from Mumbai, was sold for 8.25 crores. He was paid 20 lakhs by Bangalore last time. Devdutt Padikkal moved to Rajasthan for a worthy price of 7.75 crores. He was paid 20 lakhs by Bangalore last season. Wanindu Hasaranga was also re-purchased by Bangalore at 10.75 crores after they paid him 50 lakhs last season.

Price cuts

K Gowtham had the biggest pay cut as he was paid 90 lakhs by Lucknow after he was roped in for 9.25 crores by Chennai Last season. Notably, he did not play a single game last season. He had a salary cut of 90.28 percent. Karn Sharma is another player who had a similar pay cut at a 90 percent decrease. He was paid 5 crores by Chennai last season, but was picked by Bangalore at a base price of 50 lakhs for 2022.

Priyam Garg was re-bought by Hyderabad at a base price of 20 lakhs after he was paid 1.9 crores last season. Mumbai had a few back-to-back purchases in the accelerated round. Tymal Mills and Riley Meredith were two of these players. Tymal Mills was paid 12 crores when he last played for Bangalore, he fell down to 1.5 crores this season. Meredith was paid 8 crores by Punjab last season and was sold for a price of 1 crore this season.
