Former cricketers Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer are very well known for the banter they share on social media. Each is always ready to defend their team and point out when the other team is in a troubling situation. The more recent banter was when Jaffer got out on a duck playing for the India Maharajas in the Legends League Cricket. All of this makes for big-time entertainment for all the fans of the game.
On the occasion of Jaffer's 44th birthday, Vaughan could not control his temptation as he wished him on Twitter. In the tweet, Vaughan pointed out that Jaffer was his first Test wicket. "Happy birthday to my first Test match wicket @WasimJaffer14 !!" he wrote.

Wasim Jaffer came back with a perfect reply. Acknowledging their frequent Twitter banter he said, "Haha thank you my permanent social media wicket."

The incident in question where Vaughan dismissed Jaffer was in the 2002 match played at Lord's. Batting at 53 in the second innings of the game, Jaffer was caught by Nasser Hussain off Vaughan's bowling.
The former Indian opener is a reputed name in the domestic circuit. He represented India in 31 Test matches with 1944 runs to his name at an average of 34.1. In July last season he was named chief coach of the Odhisa cricket team for two seasons.
Jaffer was the Punjab team's batting coach until the 2021 season. He quit the position ahead of the 2022 season. He was last seen in the Legends league Cricket playing for the India Maharajas.
