India registered a convincing 157 run win against England at The Oval. This thumping win again amplified the fact that how dangerous the visitors can be with their backs against the wall. With the team being down and out at one stage, all-rounder Shardul Thakur led team India’s fightback with gritty 57 runs. From there on, the visitors pressed the accelerator and continued to play a ruthless brand of cricket.
This victory also gave India a 2-1 series lead and sparked a debate among experts and fans as to whether this Virat Kohli-led team is currently the best in the world. Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne certainly felt that this Indian team is the best in the world at the moment. However, cricketer-turned-expert Michael Vaughan had a different opinion.
Ganguly’s Tweet basically revolved around how Indians can absorb pressure wonderfully and are able to deliver the goods consistently.
“The skill is the difference but, the biggest difference is the absorbing power of pressure. Indian cricket is far ahead than the rest,” Ganguly, wrote on Twitter.
Vaughan, who is also famous for taking sly digs at the Indian fans and cricketers corrected Ganguly and said the team is best only in Test cricket and not in the white-ball formats. “In Test cricket…. Not White ball cricket,” Vaughan wrote quoting Ganguly’s Tweet.
In Test cricket .. not White ball cricket 👍 https://t.co/t5M3HQTB1c

Over the past two years, India have managed to beat top teams like Australia, West Indies, England, and South Africa in their own den. This has led to many believe that the team is currently the best in the world.
