Former India skipper Virat Kohli is leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing game against Punjab Kings. For the first time since the 2021 season, he is leading the team. After the 14th season, Kohli decided to step down from the job. From 2013 to 2021, the right-hander led the team and it reached the finals in 2016. Apart from this, the Red Army reached the playoffs in 2015, 2020, and 2021.

Since last year, RCB is led by Faf du Plessis and continues to do so. However, he picked a niggle in the game against Chennai Super Kings. This is the reason Virat is leading the side. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have provided a great start

After winning the toss, the home team, the Kings put RCB into bat. However, at the time of writing, the visitors scored 74/0 in eight overs with both Kohli and Du Plessis batting at the crease.
