It’s been a very long since we’ve seen any bilateral series between two arch-rivals and Asian cricketing powerhouses, India and Pakistan. The hardships on the diplomatic fronts and political tensions have brutally impacted the grandeur and charm of cricket between both countries. Due to this, it is very rare to see the wholesome and interesting moments between the players of both teams.

But it seems like the current players of India and Pakistan are working on trying to lessen the hard feelings in the hearts of fans of both countries. Recently, a similar heartwarming video of star Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi and his Indian counterpart Jasprit Bumrah is making rounds on social media.

Shaheen congratulated the Bumrah with a special gift as the latter was recently blessed with his firstborn. The video of this heartfelt gesture from a Pakistan pacer was shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board from their official X account. In the video, Shaheen can be seen wishing good luck to Bumrah for his newborn and giving him blessings.

Here’s the video of Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah:

Speaking of the action of the match, India had scored 147 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 24.1 overs. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and star batter KL Rahul were there in the middle with the individual score of 8 and 17 runs, respectively. Earlier in the innings, the opening pair of skipper Rohit Sharma and his partner Shubman Gill stitched an outstanding partnership of 121 runs in 16.4 overs before Shadab Khan got better of Sharma in the 17th over.

However, it was not a good day for Shaheen Afridi on the field as he found himself on the receiving end of an onslaught from the star Indian opener Shubman Gill in the initial overs of the first innings. He conceded 37 runs in 5 overs with a costly economy rate of 7.40, although he succeeded in his revenge with Gill as he trapped the latter in a slower on in the 18th over of the Indian innings.
