Gone are the days when Indians were trolled for winning only at home. Today, India can win against any opposition, and in any conditions. The team has won two back to back series in Australia and are eyeing their first Test series win in England after 2007. The credit for this massive transformation should be given to the Indian bowlers. The emergence of players like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj has made India a ruthless unit.

Australia batsman Usman Khawaja was all praise for India pace battery, which he feels is the best in the world. Khawaja lauded Jasprit Bumrah and said his awkward action coupled with serious skills makes him very hard to face. He also heaped praise on Ishant Sharma for his accuracy and said his experience is invaluable to the team. The southpaw feels Mohammed Shami is one of the most underrated bowlers in the world, adding that he has good pace, bowls with beautiful seam and is not easy to play.

“In my opinion the Indian bowling lineup right now is the best bowling lineup in the world, yes there are awesome bowlers all around the world, but that lineup is unbelievable. Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in the world right now, awkward action, great bouncer, great skills, slow ball, he is a genius and jet and bowling like one right now. Ishant Sharma, he’s a skillful bowler, he also bowls a really good length, he’s been there for such a long time that experience is invaluable in these conditions.

Third, I think is the most underrated bowler in the world, in my opinion, Mohammed Shami, he’s actually a lot quicker than you think, I think that’s one of his skill sets and he always has that seam in a beautiful position but no one really talks about him genuine thing he is such a big part of that bowling lineup and people forget about him,” said Khawaja on his YouTube channel.

The rise of Mohammed Siraj has further bolstered the Indian attack. Siraj has tasted phenomenal success since he burst onto the scene in Australia. In the ongoing series, Siraj is only behind Jasprit Bumrah in the list of most wickets. Khawaja termed Siraj as a very skilful bowler who has a bright future ahead.

“Lastly, Siraj, he was coping a bit of stick throughout the summer you can tell he’s getting wickets he’s walking by. he is a very skillful bowler too faced him in the A series maybe three years ago in India, he bought an unbelievable spell and when I saw him that I knew he was going to be a very good Test bowler,” concluded Khawaja
