Mohammed Shami is currently busy playing the three-match ODI home series against the Kiwis. On 24 January 2023, he will be in action again when team India will take on them in Indore. However, Shami made headlines sometime back due to the issues in his personal life with his wife Hasin Jahan.
In 2018, she filed a suit against Shami in order to get monthly alimony of INR 10 Lakhs. Seven Lakhs will be her personal alimony while the rest three Lakhs will be used as the maintenance cost of their daughter. However, on 23 January, a Kolkata court ordered that the Indian pacer needs to pay a monthly alimony of INR 1.30 Lakhs to his wife.

The court also confirmed that INR 50,000 will be her personal alimony while INR 80,000 will be used as the maintenance cost of their daughter. Initially, Hasin Jahan’s counsel, Mriganka Mistry claimed that INR 10 Lakhs alimony demand based on Shami’s income tax returns >for the financial year 2020-21.
In that year, his fiscal was over INR seven crores. But, Mohammed Shami’s counsel, Selim Rahman claimed that Hasin Jahan is a working lady as a professional fashion model. So, she has a stable source of income and due to that, that among pf alimony is quite unjustified. After hearing from both sides, the court finally agreed to the alimony of INR 1.30 Lakhs. After that decision, Hasin Jahan said that she would have been happier if the amount was bigger.
On the other hand, Shami did not give a single reaction until the report was filled. Hasin Jahan took a dig at Mohammed Shami when Hardik Pandya won the Asia Cup 2022 clash against Pakistan. She shared a social media photo with the caption: “Congratulations. A memorable victory. Thanks to our Tigers for helping the country win. This had to happen; the country’s reputation and honor are protected by honest patriots rather than criminals and womanizers." Fans were confident that the lady attacked the Indian pacer and criticized her for such actions.
