Yorker specialist T Natarajan stated that former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's advice helped him get better at his craft. Natarajan stated that Dhoni had suggested him to bowl slow bouncers and cutters during his breakout IPL season last year. Many bowlers in Indian cricket have thanked the veteran batsman for their success with the ball. Dhoni is not only smart with his field placement, but his suggestions to the bowlers tend to work out more often. The 30-year-old pacer bowled a maximum of 71 Yorkers among all pacers in the last IPL. He also dismissed big stars such as MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers during the season.

T Natarajan played a crucial role in SRH's run to the playoffs. The Tamil Nadu pacer picked up 16 wickets in IPL 2020. Natarajan's impressive performance in IPL helped him earn a place in India's squad as a net bowler for the tour of Australia. But the 30-year-old went on to make his debut in all three formats of the game. Natarajan impressed in Australia, helping the Men in Blue win the T20I and the Test series.

Dhoni told me I will keep getting better with experience: Natarajan

The Tamil Nadu seamer will be aiming to live up to the expectations in the forthcoming IPL season too. And ahead of the new edition, he has disclosed the advice he got from MS Dhoni that helped him improve his bowling. Natarajan had managed to dismiss MS Dhoni in the last IPL and spoke about that particular wicket too. He further revealed that he had a chat with MS Dhoni after the game ended, and the veteran gave him some valuable tips. Natarajan stated that Dhoni encouraged him and told him that he would get better with experience. The former Indian skipper had also advised Natarajan to use all his variations to become more effective with the ball.

T Natarajan also spoke about his role for SRH in the fourteenth IPL season. The fast-bowler reckoned that he is well aware of his responsibilities. He also mentioned that the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be helpful to him in pressure situations. In the 2020 season, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out early in the tournament because of an injury. The Orange Army will begin their IPL 2021 action against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11. The David Warner-led team will play their first five matches of the season in Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
