Ruturaj Gaikwad will continue to play for the Chennai franchise in the next Indian T20 League season

Speaking of Ruturaj Gaikwad, he will continue playing for the Chennai franchise in the upcoming Indian T20 League season. MS Dhoni showed faith in him and retained him for the next season. Recently, Gaikwad also opened up about Dhoni’s influence in the Chennai camp. He said: “Win or lose, MS Dhoni made sure that the team atmosphere remained the same. Yes, there was surely a lot of disappointment, but no negativity. There was no blame game. A lot of times when you keep on losing, different groups are formed within the team. But that didn’t happen in Chennai. Everyone used to be a little quiet for 10-15 mins after losing a game. But Mahi bhai after coming back from the presentation would tell us, ‘Relax boys, it happens’,” Gaikwad, who is with Chennai since 2021.”

He also added: “MS Dhoni’s meetings are usually very short. Even after losing, the longest meeting would be around two or three minutes. He would tell us that there is a dinner plan, so make sure everyone is ready for it. He would make us understand that it isn’t possible for Chennai to win each and every time.” Now, about this match, Uttar Pradesh won the toss and asked Maharashtra to bat first. Maharashtra scored 330 runs for five wickets in 50 overs. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 220* runs off 159 balls, including 10 fours and 16 sixes. But, in the 49th over, he smashed seven sixes in a row and created a world record. With this hundred, he has now hit six tons in his last eight Vijay Hazare innings.
