MS Dhoni to lead Harbhajan Singh's all-time Indian T20 League XI

Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh was a part of the Indian T20 League until the 2021 season. He played for three franchises in his ITL career and saw several greats take the field for their respective teams. Harbhajan was a regular performer for Mumbai since the tournament's inception in 2008 till 2017 before being released by the franchise. The 41-year-old then played for Chennai in the following three editions before moving to Kolkata in ITL 2021, which was his final season. He took 150 wickets in 163 games in the competition, with a superb economy rate of 7.07 He is also one of the leading wicket-takers in tournament's history.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Harbhajan revealed his all-time Indian T20 League XI. He picked the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle and the five-time title-winning captain, Rohit Sharma as the two openers. Virat Kohli, highest run-scorer in the tournament, earned the number three spot. Harbhajan kept Australian all-rounder and former Chennai opener Shane Watson at no 4. The 360-degree player, AB de Villiers and captain cool, MS Dhoni were the next to follow. The off-spinner also named MS Dhoni as the skipper of the team.

Kieron Pollard and Ravindra Jadeja were kept at seven and eight. Harbhajan included Sunil Narine in the team as the second spinner alongside Ravindra Jadeja. Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah were picked as the two main pacers of the team. Meanwhile, Harbhajan's former teams have struggled in the tournament this season. Kolkata (8th), Chennai (9th), and Mumbai (10th) are eying an early exit in the tournament.
