MS Dhoni was seen having batting practice sessions in the last few months at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) academy
As per reports to the Telegraph, MS Dhoni will retire after IPL 2023. He might work with a specialized set of Indian players. It indicated that Dhoni will play his last Indian T20 League in the next season. After that, he will be back in team India to work with some players in the upcoming years. The Board are keen to use the experience of Dhoni.
So, the Board might ask him to work with certain players in the T20 setup for bringing a fearless attitude in major tournaments. However, ahead of the next season, it will be shocking news for the Chennai fans as MS Dhoni has been their charismatic skipper all these years. Under his captaincy, they managed to win four titles so far. However, he was with the Indian team as the mentor in the last edition of the 2021 20-20 World Cup.
But, India had a disappointing World Cup as they got crashed out of the group stage only. In recent months, Dhoni was seen having net sessions at the JSCA academy. In the last edition of the tournament, he did not manage many significant contributions to the team. So, this time around, MS Dhoni will look to help the franchise both as an individual player and leader.
