Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni is considered one of the best captains the game has ever seen. The former India skipper is also widely respected amongst his peers and competitors. Even off the field, he has managed to have an invincible aura. Till the time he was with the Indian team, Dhoni was also seen as an elder brother to the likes of Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, and Kl Rahul. These players would often follow Dhoni’s advice without second-guessing.
Kohli has always been vocal about his love and admiration for the former wicketkeeper-batter. He has always mentioned the trust and understanding he shares with Dhoni. India’s Test captain also never fails to show his love to the 40-year-old by sharing appreciation posts on his social media account. Now, Kohli, who is currently in South Africa, leading the team for a three-match Test series, has remembered a piece of advice given to him by MS Dhoni.
The advice is in Hindi, which loosely translates to, “There should be a gap of minimum 6-7 months while making a mistake, I always remember that.” The 33-year-old is expected to be back leading the team for the third and final Test match after missing the second game due to a back spasm.
Virat : MS dhoni ne ek salah di thi ki aapki ek galti or dusri galti mein 6-7 mahine ka gap hona chahiye. I always remember that.#INDvsSA

Kohli’s inspirational leadership was missed as India went down by seven wickets at Wanderers against South Africa. The series is poised 1-1 and Kohli would be hoping to put on a big score with the bat and help India win the Test series for the first time in South Africa. So far, Kohli has managed to win a series in Australia and win Test matches in England and South Africa.
