'Mumbai ko trophy abhi de do': Twitter goes berserk as Mumbai gets Jofra Archer for 8 crore

A few days ago Jofra Archer put his name on the list of the mega auction after a delay. However, he is currently suffering from an injury, and may not be available to play for the 2022 season. Mumbai, completely aware of the situation, went hard on him in the auction and got him for a steal at a price of 8 crores. Even if he is not available this season, this was a smart move by the Mumbai management.

Pairing him with another world-great Jasprit Bumrah will be a great duo for the 2023 season. Mumbai was not very active throughout the event but has been so for the accelerated auction. Apart from Archer, Mumbai also got a few other players in the round. Tim David, Tymal Mills, and Daniel Sams are the other players they purchased.

Archer last played competitive cricket in 2021 and has been suffering from the injury for a long time. The internet reactions were outstanding despite him not being available to play this season. Many suggested getting done with this season as soon as possible so that they could see him play the next time.
