The Indian Cricket Board has left the Indian cricketing fraternity with contrasting opinions about another team selection. The selection committee, led by recently appointed chief selector Ajit Agarkar, announced the T20I squad of India for the upcoming West Indies tour. A few inclusions and exclusions have also raised the eyebrows of some cricket experts and fans in the Indian cricketing fraternity.

A few of the new talents, who showcased some brilliant performances in the Indian Premier League 2023, missed a cut to the squad of the national team of India for the five-match T20I series against West Indies.

Meanwhile, the KKR skipper in the IPL 2023, who captained the side in regular skipper Shreyas Iyer’s absence, came up with a cryptic tweet. Rana took to his official Twitter handle on the micro-blogging site and posted a tweet with the caption “Bad days build better days.” Notably, Rana has featured for India at the highest level of the game in 1 ODI and 2 T20I matches two years back in July 2021 when India was playing against Sri Lanka.

Here’s a look at the tweet posted by Nitish Rana:

Notably, Rana’s teammate and sensational KKR batter in the IPL 2023, Rinku Singh was also expected to make it to the T20I squad of India. But unfortunately, he missed it to seal a berth for the T20I series on the Caribbean tour.

The selectors have picked Ravi Bishnoi, who last featured for India in the T20I cricket back in the Asia Cup 2022. Apart from him, the star MP pacer Avesh Khan has also returned to the side after an injury break.

Here’s a look at the T20I squad of India against West Indies:

Ishan (wk), Gill, Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Surya Kumar Yadav (VC), Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya (C), Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, and Mukesh Kumar
