While KKR captain Nitish Rana led his team in a high-voltage encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023, his wife Saachi Marwah was involved in an uncomfortable event in Delhi on May 4, Thursday, as she revealed in an Instagram story. According to her story, she was driving home from work, when two people on a bike began to chase her car and hit it.
Marwah also revealed how the police did not comply with her and failed to take action. She said that the police suggested she "let it go" now that she had safely reached home. Instead of helping her out, the Police asked her to note down the vehicle number the next time something like this happened.
“Just a casual day in Delhi, on my way back home from work!! These guys randomly hitting my car! JUST no reason stalked and chased and the police told me on the phone when I complained ‘so now that you’ve reached home safe, let it go! Next time number note kar lena’ @delhi.police_official. AYE AYE CAPTAIN, NEXT TIME ILL TAKE THEIR PHONE NUMBER ALSO,” she wrote in her Instagram story.

In the meantime, her husband, Indian cricketer Nitish Rana, is competing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. He is captaining the two-time winners KKR in the absence of usual skipper Shreyas Iyer, who is out with a back injury. He will also miss the biggest Test match of the year, the Test Championship final between India and Australia at the Oval in June.
Meanwhile, Rana's captaincy has guided KKR well so far this season, with 8 points in 10 matches, but they are still in eighth place and cannot afford any more losses in the competition. They just defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 runs in a last-ball thriller on May 4. The Men in Purple will next play against the Punjab Kings on the 8th of May at Eden Gardens.
