Pakistan registered an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the five-match ODI series against New Zealand by defeating the latter by a margin of 26 runs in the third of the five-match ODI series. The visitors’ skipper Tom Latham won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first at the batting-friendly track of Karachi.
Batting first, the hosts Pakistan went on to post 287 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Later on, they successfully defended the target by scalping all the wickets of New Zealand in the second innings of the match.
The Pakistan cricket fans were also happy and elated following the game-winning by the men in green. They took to Twitter to come up with praising reactions and responses to the home team’s win in the third ODI of the series.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the opener Imam-ul-Haq played a brilliant knock of 90 runs with seven boundaries and a six to his name. Besides him, the skipper Babar Azam scored a half-century with three boundaries and a six with the wood. On the back of these couple of good knocks, Pakistan posted a total of 287 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first innings of the game.
While defending the target, the bowling attack of Pakistan consisting of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Wasim bundled up New Zealand on a total of 261 runs in 49.1 overs to win the match for Pakistan by 26 runs. All three pacers scalped two wickets each alongside one wicket claimed by Agha Salman.
Imam-ul-Haq won the ‘Player of the Match award for his match-defining knock in favour of Pakistan.
