The defending Champions Gujarat registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League 2023. They locked horns against Delhi in their second match against Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Young batter Sai Sudarshan played a vital role in Gujara’s win from a miserable position at the start.
Later on, skipper Hardik Pandya lavished praises on Sudarshan for his brilliant match-defining knock. Pandya also batted for him to be the next big thing in franchise cricket and for India in international cricket as well.
“He (Sudarshan has been batting beautifully. You can see the fruit of his hard work. In two years, he will do something big in franchise cricket and hopefully for India,” said Pandya during the post-match presentation after the win against Delhi in the second match of the tournament.
Apart from that, Pandya also talked about the performance and comeback of Gujarat in the match after a shaky start in the second innings.

It will help us to take us right decisions and someone takes us through periods when needed. Whatever happens, it is okay but be out happy out there and take care of each other,” he added later.
Although, a section of the Indian cricket fans took Hardik’s praise for Sai Sudarshan as an opportunity to troll the former for backing another youngster to play for India for the second time in the tournament so far. They took to Twitter to troll Pandya for backing his franchise team players to be a part of India’s national side.
