The event's technical committee approves Prasidh Krishna as Hardik's replacement
Hardik's unavailability has led to India replacing him with Prasidh Krishna. India got the approval from the technical committee of the event to get Prasidh as the replacement. "His place in India's squad will be taken by Prasidh Krishna, with the inexperienced fast bowler parachuted into the playing group after being approved by the tournament's Event Technical Committee on Saturday," read the statement of the apex board.
The event's technical committee has the likes of Wasim Khan, Gaurav Saxena, Simon Doull, Chris Tetley, Russell Arnold, and Hemang Amin, The move has not been received well by the fans, who have questioned the process of selecting the replacement. While Hardik is a genuine All-rounder, Prasidh is a seam bowler. India already has many pacers in the squad. Fans have demanded the management to get a batter in the place of the injured Hardik.
