Shoaib Akhtar’s plea to Indian cricket fans –
Former Pakistani pace sensation Shoaib Akhtar was just as mesmerized seeing the Indian bowlers as anyone else. The 47-year-old took to his official Twitter page and made a fervent plea to the Indian Cricket fans.
The former Pakistani pacer said “India is becoming a ruthless side from this point the onslaught cannot be stopped but my request to Indians is to start celebrating your fast bowlers because everyone was happy and there was a lot of noise on each delivery at the Wankhede Stadium,"
The main reason for India’s amazing show with the ball was 33-year-old Mohammed Shami. The right-arm pacer took 5 for 18 which is his career-best figure in ODI Cricket and also took his ODI World Cup 2023 wicket tally to 14. The fifer on Thursday gave Shami 45 wickets to make him the leading Indian wicket-taker in the ODI World Cups.
