As per reports, Ollie Pope will field with a camera on his helmet during the rescheduled fifth Test match against India. This will be the first instance of a player fielding with a camera in Test cricket. It will be a 'unique view of the action in the middle,' said Sky Sports, as reported by the Evening Standard.

Cameras on helmets have already been seen in numerous T20 leagues, when not only players, but even umpires, have worn cameras on their heads. However, this is the first time in Test cricket that a player will be wearing a camera on the field.

This small change is intended to improve the viewing experience for the audience watching the game on their TVs. The camera may also be used in the Decision Review System (DRS). The camera will not record sound, and the discussions on the field will not be heard.

In the meantime, England has already announced the playing XI for the fifth match. The Ben Stokes-led team is coming out of a great series against New Zealand. They whitewashed the visitors in the three-match series. They will be determined to produce a similar performance against India as well.

James Anderson, who missed the previous encounter against New Zealand, will return to the Playing XI for the match against India. He will replace Jamie Overton in the XI. Furthermore, Ben Foakes, who tested positive for Covid-19, will miss the game. Sam Billings will replace him in the playing XI.

As for India, Rohit Sharma will miss out on the all-important match due to Covid-19. Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make his captaincy debut in his absence. Mayank Agarwal has been called up to the team to open the batting along with Shubman Gill.
