One game-changer from each team in Indian T20 League 2022

Every team in the Indian T20 League is different from what we saw in the last season. In addition, the two new teams have also come into the picture, which has changed the tournament's dynamics completely. Going into the new season with transformed squads, teams will look for a player they can rely on. While many players can perform well for them, a team looks for players who can be game-changers for them. Devon Conway- Chennai

Chennai got a great deal in the mega auction as they purchased Devon Conway for a base price of 1 crore. They were looking for a replacement for Faf du Plessis, and they found a great player in Conway. He has been very consistent in all formats since his debut and Chennai will be hoping he can continue doing the same in their road to their fifth title. 

Shardul Thakur - Delhi

Delhi has had a great bowling lineup for a few years now. They were looking for someone with good experience to fit into the team, and Shardul Thakur was a great choice. He is a player that can break partnerships and restrict opponents from going ahead in the game. Thakur will be very useful for Delhi, especially with improved batting skills.

Rashid Khan- Gujarat

Rashid Khan moved to Gujarat in a great transfer for the team. He has been a part of the ITL for a few years now and is one of the top players in the tournament. Rashid has been very consistent with his performance over the years. He always takes wickets and is very economical. He guarantees you match-winning performances.

Shreyas Iyer- Kolkata

Kolkata had to look for a player, who could fill in two roles for them, middle-order batting and captaincy. Shreyas Iyer was the perfect buy for them. He is a very smart cricketer and a natural leader. Iyer is someone who can change gears as per the situation and the team will expect some big performances from him.

KL Rahul- Lucknow

The newly formed Lucknow team grabbed KL Rahul from the draft of released players ahead of the mega auction. Rahul has been in staggering form in the last few years, especially in white-ball cricket. Rahul's captaincy is still a work in progress, but with the support around him, he can do well. Also, unlike Punjab, Lucknow have a balanced batting order which will allow Rahul to play his natural game, which makes him very dangerous.

Tim David- Mumbai

While Mumbai has many game-changers, Tim David could be their biggest game-changer in the coming season. Hailing from Singapore, David has done well in various leagues across the world. He also has good experience of playing in Asian conditions, which will help Mumbai a lot.

Shikhar Dhawan- Punjab

Punjab had a spectacular mega auction as they got some great players in the team. Shikhar Dhawan was one of these buys. Dhawan was instrumental in Delhi's success last year and Punjab will be expecting similar performances from him.

Trent Boult- Rajasthan

Rajasthan has formed a great bowling department this year, with Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal in the mix. Trent Boult will lead the fast bowling unit for them. He is a great option for the team in the powerplays. Wickets upfront has been an issue for Rajasthan but with Boult in, they can expect some early inroads in most of the games.

Faf du Plessis- Bangalore

Faf du Plessis has had a fantastic run in the Indian T20 League in the last two years. This year, Bangalore had a steal at the auction as his former team Chennai did not go strongly after him. He missed out on the orange cap by a margin of just two runs last season, and he can surely get there this time around.

Nicholas Pooran- Hyderabad

Nicholas Pooran has been in the staggering form of late. If he can continue his form in the ITL as well, it will be great for Hyderabad as he is a genuine match-winner who can single-handedly win the game for his team.
