Former India vice-captain KL Rahul is reported to start his batting from next week. He has been out of the game since the IPL 2023. Rahul sustained a hip injury which ruled him out of the WTC Final, early this month. During this time, the right-hander was successfully operated on and has started his fitness regimes. Notably, he visited Dharamsthala Temple.

Even though Rahl, alongside Shreyas Iyer, might be ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023. While Iyer sustained a back injury and is unlikely to recover in time, Rahul might sustain the same fate. Meanwhile, fans aren't much enthusiastic about the latter's comeback. His string of failures in the last year or so has frustrated the fans so much that they don't want him to be available for the ODI World Cup.

This is how Twitter reacted

Talking Rahul, he has played 47 Tests, 54 ODIs, and 72 T20Is. He is one of the few players across the globe to score a hundred across formats. The Lucknow Super Giants skipper in the IPL wasn't at his best before getting injured. The 31-year-old even struggled against some of the pedestrian bowling attacks
